Amethyst (Chevron) | Tumbled

Chevron Amethyst is a member of the Quartz family, with a trigonal crystal system and a hardness of 7. Its color, which varies from opaque to deep purple, is derived from the combination of trace amounts of iron and aluminum, plus natural or applied irradiation, and also includes V-shaped patterns due to alternating layers of Milky White Quartz and purple Quartz. While its energetic properties are still that of traditional Amethyst, it has additional properties that should be considered as well.
