Shungite | Tumbled

Shungite is a natural composition of primarily amorphous graphite (carbon), crystalline silicate particles, and other minerals distributed throughout the stone. It has a hardness of 3.5 to 4. The carbon in Shungite gives it certain catalytic abilities, electroconductivity and chemical resistance. Its complex composition of materials includes carbon, silicon, aluminum, iron, manganese, sulfur, calcium and phosphorous. Visually, Shungite resembles anthracite coal. There are two varieties- the first is 'Classic Shungite', which is available in larger quantities, and can be shaped into spheres, points, wands, pyramids and tumbled stones. The second type, 'Noble Shungite' which is available only in raw form, has a higher carbon content, far rarer and is aid to "act quicker".
