Azurite w/ Malachite | Tumbled

Azurite is a copper carbonate mineral with a hardness of 3.5 to 4. Its name is derived from its deep azure blue color. Its crystal system is monoclinic and, although it is most often found in massive or botryoidal forms, it sometimes grows in long, deep blue, prismatic crystals. It also occurs in stalactitic, columnar or radiating forms. It frequently occurs with Malachite, which is also a copper carbonate mineral. Malachite is often cut from botryoidal masses with fibrous banding of lighter and darker shades of vivid green. It can also take stalactitic form or occur as a crust.
