Rose quartz is a pink variety of quartz, a silicon dioxide mineral (SiO₂), known for its translucent to opaque appearance and soft pink color. The pink hue is attributed to trace amounts of titanium, iron, or manganese, and in some cases, microscopic fibrous inclusions of dumortierite. It has a Mohs hardness of 7, making it relatively durable for jewelry and decorative objects. Rose quartz is commonly found in Brazil, Madagascar, South Africa, and the United States, typically forming in large masses rather than distinct crystals.
