  • $5.00

Bismuth is a chemical element with the symbol Bi and atomic number 83. It is a brittle, crystalline metal with a silvery-white color that often exhibits an iridescent oxide tarnish, displaying hues of pink, blue, green, and yellow. Bismuth is one of the least toxic heavy metals and has a Mohs hardness of 2 to 2.5, making it relatively soft. It is commonly used in pharmaceuticals, alloys, pigments, and low-melting-point solders. Naturally occurring bismuth is rare, but it is primarily obtained as a byproduct of refining lead, copper, tin, and silver ores.
