Anubis is the Egyptian god of funerary rites, mummification, and protector of graves. He is also known as Inpu, Inpw, and Anpu. Anubis is often depicted as a jackal-headed man, but can also be shown as a black canine or a muscular man. The color black represents the decay of the body, while the Nile River Valley's fertile soil represents regeneration and life.

This 10.5" Anubis, Egyptian God with Scales of Justice Cold-Cast Bronze statue depicts the God as a jackal-headed figure. On one chained scale is the "weighing of the heart", and on the other is the "Feather of Ma'at". This act is meant to determine whether or not one is worthy of entering the Realm of the Dead.
